Tuition for Private Lessons
Which length to choose?
If you’re not sure what lesson length to choose, you can ask for our advice. You also can start with one length and see how it feels with your teacher. Your teacher can make suggestions for you if they feel a different length would suit you best.
For 30-minute lessons: These are great for young beginners, ages 4 - 9, although in some cases, they can also be appropriate for older beginners.
For 45-minute lessons: These are ideal for beginners ages 10 - 13, or for those intermediate beginners who have had lessons before. 45 minutes is the ideal lesson time for exploring technique, repertoire, and theory every week.
For 60-minute lessons: These are perfect for high school through adult beginners, or those who have been playing for some time and are serious about going to the next level.
TLDR: Lesson time is a personal choice, and the above are simply guides that we have seen work over the last decade. We have many teenage and adult students taking 30-minute lessons, and finding that they work well for them!
